* General Rules for classes. Applies at all competitions.

Class 1 <48.  Machines upp to 1947, maximum 500 cc, unless big machine demonstrably has participated in competition.

Class's Classic 2 – 4 and 6, 2-stroke upp to 1967 and 4-stroke upp to 1972.

Class's Classic 5 only 4-stroke upp to 1972.

Class 2 B 50 cc. General, applies that a motorcycle is validated about the has participated in a national (corresponding Swedish championship) or international (WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS) 50 cc amused racing competition, during condition that the is in same execution. Replika of such is also validated about the exercizing verge sues in important parts (framework, engine, clevis, tank, sits, hood, wheels and brakes.

Class 8 A machines <16 " maximum 1000 cc upp to 1972. Both 2 - and 4-stroke.

1. Announcement

The ‘Classic Racing Motorcycle Club Limited’ will organise a Restricted Road Race meeting at Donington Park from 19th to 21st June 2009 commencing at 9.00am Friday and continuing on Saturdayand Sunday at 9.00am.  The meeting will be held under the National Sporting Code of the Auto-Cycle Union (ACU), Standing Regulations for Road Racing and these Supplementary Regulations, together with any Final Instructions subsequently issued or Official announcements made.  This meeting is also open to riders competing in the UEM Vintage Road Racing Cup under the UEM regulations.

3.  Eligibility.

a. Rider Eligibility - Open to riders, drivers and passengers who hold a valid current competition licence for Road Races issued by the ACU, SACU or the European Community FIM affiliated federations endorsed by their FMN for use elsewhere within the European community. Overseas competitors must provide their own competition insurance, and start permission documents, according to the ACU/FIM scales, and these must be shown when signing on.  

All riders, drivers and passengers must be current members of the CRMC Limited.  This licence and a current Membership Card, must be shown when signing on.   Riders and Passengers under 18 years of age must also complete a “Parental Agreement” form in addition to this entry form to permit them to compete.  Their Parent or Legal Guardian must attend signing on with them and must be available for the duration of the meeting. Parental Agreement forms are available from the CRMC and from the ACU.                         

b.  Motorcycle Eligibility. -

Events 1–9  & 14 : All motorcycles must be CRMC registered, or GSOC / SCRMC eligible as applicable. VMCC members may enter their motorcycle in the appropriate capacity class. Motorcycles registered CRMC Group 3 (Production) may enter the equivalent capacity Group 2 event.

Events 10 & 11 : All motorcycles must be CRMC registered.

Events 15: All motorcycles must be registered with Lansdowne organiser Richard Thirkell.

Event 16 : Motorcycles must be CRMC eligible.

All motorcycles competing in the UEM Vintage Cup must comply with the UEM Vintage Road Race (VRR) Regulations.

4. Entries 

a. Entries: Open on publication of these supplementary regulations, and close 19th May 2009.  At the entry secretary’s discretion, late entries may be accepted up to 15th June 2009, subject to grid space available and a £10 surcharge.

b. All entries must be made on the official Entry Form and sent to the Race Entry secretary:

d. The organisers undertake to insure each driver and passenger, indemnifying him/her against any third party claims made arising out of the races or the official practice, excluding claims by other drivers or passengers, entrant, sponsor or mechanic.

e. Cancellations & Refunds: Entries may be cancelled and fees refunded in full, provided notification is received before 16th June 2009.

5. Limitation

Classics over 500cc and Post Classic over 125cc: The maximum number of starters for racing is 40 solo and 30 Sidecars, and for practice 60 and 45 respectively.

Classics up to 500cc and Post Classics up to 125cc: The maximum number of starters for racing is 44 solo and 30 Sidecars, and for practice 66 and 45 respectively.

In cases of oversubscribed races at close of entries, priority will be given to full members of the CRMC and then by ballot.

6. Change of Machine Driver/Rider and/or Passenger

Changes of rider, of change of make of machine, or capacity, in the same class may be permitted.  Any change must be notified in writing to the Secretary of the meeting 60 minutes before the start of the days racing.  Failure to notify the secretary will result in exclusion from the results and the remainder of the meeting.  Only the holder of an entrant’s licence, being an entrant, can nominate a change of rider. It is not permitted to change both rider and bike.

7. Awards

a. Awards will only be made to riders of CRMC or GSOC eligible machines.

b. Trophies will be awarded to the first three finishers in each class, subject to minimum start numbers,

c. The winner of Event 16 will be presented with the Wheatcroft Trophy.

8.  Programme of Events

Racing will consist of the following events for motorcycles described in Category 1, Groups A1 & B1 of the National Sporting Code. All machines must conform to Section 3 of these regulations.

Events 1 – 9 are scheduled for three races of 6 laps.                              

Events 10 & 11 are scheduled for one race of 8 laps on Sunday.

Event 15 is scheduled for one race of 10 laps on Saturday and one of 10 laps on Sunday.

Event 16 is scheduled for one race of 10 laps on Sunday

Event 17 is scheduled for one race of 10 laps on Sunday                     

The CRMC reserve the right to alter, modify or cancel any part of the programme, as it may deem appropriate.

9. The Course

The course is raced in a clockwise direction, and 1.957 miles long.

10. Technical Inspection

a. Machines must be presented to the Technical Official at the times stated. Motorcycles should be in a practice/race/parade ready condition. Machines must display the numbers allocated for the meeting (in the correct style and size). The relevant technical control card must accompany the machine.

Competitors must present themselves to the Technical Official wearing their protective clothing, boots and identification disc. They must also bring helmet(s), visors and gloves for checking by the Technical Official. Riders competing under an ACU licence must use a helmet bearing the current ACU Gold Stamp.

A machine eligibility inspection will be made during Technical Control.  Please bring the relevant scrutiny card, plus machine eligibility certificate for inspection.

b. Technical Control Opening Times: These will be allocated and detailed in the Final Instructions.

Priority at Technical Inspection will be given to those machines presented at their allocated times.

c. Re-inspection following an accident: It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that following an accident:

          i.  His/her machine, helmet and clothing are re-presented to, and approved by, Technical Control before further use at the meeting.

         ii. He/she is passed fit by the Medical Officer before taking any further part in the meeting.

d. Technical Requirements: In addition to the requirements of the ACU Standing Regulations and National Sporting Code, the following requirements are applicable to all machines at CRMC run events.

i.         Safety locking wire shall be annealed stainless steel of between 0.7mm and 1.0mm in diameter. Copper wire shall NOT be used for safety wiring.

ii.        Spin-off type oil filters must be jubilee clipped and wire locked to prevent unscrewing.

iii.      Plastic pipe, braided or otherwise, shall NOT be used for flow-carrying oil lines. It is permitted for breather pipes. All pipe terminations on positive-pressure oil flow lines must use threaded or swaged fittings.

iv.      Section 5.18 “All drain plugs must be tight and drilled and wired into position.” shall include fork and suspension unit drain plugs, where practicable.

v.        Filler caps and filter covers shall be drilled and lock-wired on crankcases, gearboxes and final drive units where practicable.

vi.      Exhaust retaining springs must be ‘parallel-wired’ to ensure the security of the system and components in the event of a spring failure. This requirement does not apply to springs retaining exhausts to the cylinder head or barrel.

vii.     In addition to the exhaust connection at the cylinder head or exhaust port, there shall be at least two points of retention for each pipe/silencer assembly. This may be accomplished by the use of a safety strap wire loop in addition to a single main mounting.

11. Practice

Practice is scheduled to commence at 9.00am Friday and competitors will have the opportunity to have at least ten minutes practice.  Orange Jacket Novices and riders competing at the circuit for the first time must complete 3 laps of practice, or gain permission to start from the Clerk of the Course.

12. Method of start

 All races will start with the fall of the National flag with engines running (Clutch start).

13.  Finish of Races

To be counted as a Finisher and be included in the results a Rider must have completed 75% of the actual race distance. He must also have crossed the finish line on the track and not in the Pit Lane within three minutes after the winner and be in contact with his machine.

14. Tyres

Tyres shall be in accordance with ACU Standing Regulations for Road Racing Club Events and appendix 5 of the CRMC eligibility rules.

15. Admission

Each solo rider and sidecar driver will receive 3 passes.  Sidecar passengers will receive 2 passes. Licensed entrants will receive 1 pass.

Rules for the unofficial international match.

The following classes are included in the unofficial international match between Sverige - Norge: Class 4 (350 cc), class 5 (500 cc), class 6 (750 cc), class 7 A (FAIRY>250 cc), class 7 C “Formula 80-87 and class 9 (SuperMono).

Both days' tävlingsheat is counted. The 3 good participants from respective country in each class and tävlingsheat is counted.

Poängberäkning according to. the following: 1:a 6 points. 2:a 5 points, 3:a 4 points, 4:a 3 points, 5:a 2 points, 6:a 1 points. The is counted equally many drivers from respective country in each class. Is the t.ex only 2 drivers from Sweden in a class to be counted only 2 Norwegian drivers. That country that has got most points total choir carcases as winners.

A special vandringspris is set and that goes to successful country for 1 years.

The is incumbent on each country to appoint a law conductor that to be reported to competition boredom clean.

1. INVITATION

Linköping’s Motorsällskap has the honour to invite you to the ”44-ÅRSRACET" at Linköping’s Motorstadion, Sviestad Racing Circuit. The race is an open International roadrace for vintage and classic motorcycles and it will count for the UEM EURO VINTAGE CUP 2009, EL SERVICE SUPER MONO CUP 2009, DHL CLASSIC RACING CUP 2009 and NORDIC CLASSIC RACING CUP 2009. The event is open to riders holding a National or International classic, junior, senior or elite roadracing licence. For scoring in the UEM cups you need a UEM licence. The UEM licence number must be written on the entry form.

A Parade licence (or an ordinary racing license) is required for the Parade class.

3. CIRCUIT

The length of the circuit is 2160 m with no significant height differences and is run in a clock-wise direction.

The circuit is situated along Road 34, just south of Linköping, Sweden.

4. JURISDICTION

The meeting will be held in accordance with the FIM Sporting Code, the CCR and U.E.M. Rules, the SVEMO rules and these supplementary regulations approved by SVEMO and U.E.M (70/2).

7. CATEGORIES AND CLASSES

The race is open to two-stroke machines until 1967, four-stroke machines until 1972, Period 3 until 1979 and Sound of Singles. The year limit for all sidecars is 1972, regardless if it’s a two-stroke or four-stroke engine. Sidecars group A have smaller wheels than 16" front and/or rear. Group B have 16" or bigger wheels front and rear.

Classes: Solos until 1947, Solos 0-50cc, 51-175 cc, 176-250 cc, 251-350 cc, 351-500 cc, 501-750 cc, Period 3 A and B until 1979 (7A & 7B), Formula 80-87 (7C Formula 1 and 2), Sidecars group A and Sidecars group B will count towards the U.E.M. EURO VINTAGE CUP 2007 (not Formula 80-87). There will also be Super Mono (El Service Super Mono Cup), RD/LC 250, a Parade class and a Super Parade (Honda).

9. ENTRY

Written application forms obtainable from the organizer or the FMN must reach the organizer not later than

June 30,  2009. The Organizer has the right to refuse an entry without stating the reason. The Parade is open only to riders not participating in the racing classes. Personal AMB transponder numbers must be stated on the entry form.

10. ENTRY FEE

Entry fee for all riders is SEK 1500:-, Parade SEK 800:- and SEK 400- for an extra class. Applications received after the closing date are SEK 500:- extra. Each rider is allowed 30 m2 paddock area. Additional area will be charged. Transponder fee is SEK 500:- for all riders without a personal AMB TranX 260 transponder.

A rider, accepted for the meeting, who cannot take part, must, in writing, by fax or by mail (rr.time@gmail.com) inform the organizer as soon as possible, stating an acceptable and valid reason.

12. STARTING NUMBERS

The starting numbers and number plates must conform to the rules, and must be clearly visible from the time-keeping office.

13. ARRIVAL

The participants must visit the Race Office as soon as possible, not later than 10.00 on Saturday. There they must display their licences and the starting permissions received from the organizers. The paddock opens on Thursday at 10.00. No rider is allowed to enter the paddock area before that time.

The Race Office is situated outside the paddock on Thursday at 10.00-22.00, and on Friday at 07.00-22.00 and on Saturday at 07.00-12.00 inside the paddock. An official will show you your place in the paddock. The paddock will be closed at night (22 – 07).

14. TECHNICAL INSPECTION

No rider or machine is allowed on the circuit before passing the technical inspection. Prior to this the rider must visit the Race Office. The technical inspection is open on Thursday at 18.00-21.00, on Friday at 07.00-21.00 and on Saturday at 07.00-12.00.

15. TRANSPONDERS

The bike must be fitted with a working personal AMB TranX 260 transponder in all heats. The rider is responsible for its fitting and, in case of having a rented transponder, he must return the transponder to the Race Office immediately after his last heat.

16. PADDOCK SILENCE

No engines may be started between 21.00 and 07.00 every night.

17. RIDERS´ BRIEFING 

Riders must attend at a briefing on Friday at 18.30 and (maybe) on Saturday at 18.45 in the paddock in front of Race Office B.

Please observe that these briefings are compulsory for all riders! It concerns our safety!

18. FUEL AND ELECTRICITY

There will be no sale of fuel in the paddock. Electricity (230V/10A) is only available in certain areas of the paddock from Thursday afternoon to Sunday evening. No extra charge!

19. MINI BIKES

It is not permitted to use mini bikes just for fun in the paddock. They are great for serious transportation, not just for fooling around in the paddock!

20. ENVIRONMENT

An environment mat must be put under every racing bike. On the go-kart track you must as well use a piece of wood under the bike to protect the tarmac. No nails or anything else that may damage the tarmac! Cars and other heavy vehicles may not be parked on the tarmac of the go-kart track. The must be parked on the grass.

21.NOICE LIMIT

The noice limit for a passing bike is 95 dB(a). The  control limit with stationary measuring is 100 dB(a). The organiser´s noice meter is official and valid.

22. SAFETY VEHICLES

Safety vehicles are driven on the left-hand side when possible.

23. MEDICAL EXAMINATION

After every accident, when a rider has fallen off his machine, the rider must be examined by the Doctor, and the machine must pass the technical examination again, before the rider can continue. This means: Down is Out!

24. STARTING PROCEDURE

The grid is determined upon the basis of the practice results. The organizer has the right to determine up to 20% of the grid regardless of the practice results. The pole position is at the right in the race direction.

There will be no warm-up lap except for the Super Mono. After a sighting lap the start will take place as soon as possible. The 1 min-board and the 30 sec-board will be shown. All classes will use clutch-starts.

The rider must be at the paddock exit gate at least 10 minutes before scheduled starting time.

To be classified the rider must cross the finish line no more than two minutes after the winner.

26. PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each class.

27. PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY

The prize-giving ceremony will take place in the paddock, at 19.00 on Saturday and at 16.00 on Sunday.

28. PROTESTS

A protest must be in writing, signed and handed over to the Clerk of the Course. The protest fee is 130:-.

The time limit for protesting against a race or qualification result is 30 minutes after publishing time.

29. CANCELLATION

If the event, or a part thereof, has to be cancelled, the affected riders will be notified no later than a week before the meeting.
